Oblate Youth Summer Camp

flyersummerOnce again this August the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate are offering the young people of our parishes the opportunity to take part in our annual adventure weekend at Blue Peris Adventure Centre in North Wales.

By combining faith and fun the young people of our parishes will get the chance to take part in various outdoor activities, whilst also learning important life skills such as team work and exploring their Catholic faith in a different way.

Blue Peris Adventure Centre is based in Caernarfon, North Wales near the Snowdonia mountain. This will be the base for the week.

Blue Peris has an excellent safety record with over 30 years of safe and successful operations in the area of outdoor education.

Our Camp will cater for young people all over the Anglo-Irish Province. Young people aged 12-14 will travel from each Oblate parish. They will be accompanied by 2 responsible members of the Oblate Youth Service to Blue Peris, where they will meet the rest of the group and also the team leaders.

A parents meeting can also be arranged closer to the time upon request. However in the meantime you can find out more information by contacting

The total cost of the summer camp is £180/€210, This price, which is subsidised by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, will include meals, accommodation, hiring of specialised equipment and the cost of all activities, as well as travel from a pre-arranged location in each parish. Bursary forms are also available.

During our time together you will have the opportunity to participate in a number of different adventure activities. These activities will include the following:

  • Rock Climbing
  • Abseiling
  • Sea Level Traversing
  • Gorge Scrambling
  • Kayaking

There will also be some time spent where young people will share their Christian faith.

This will be an opportunity to have a wonderful experience, deepen your faith, meet new friends while enjoying the great outdoors and having a lot of fun.
