Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer for January 4th 2023 With James
Good morning friends. We invite you to join James, from London, for morning prayer today.
According to his secretary, Archbishop George Ganswein, Pope Benedict’s final words before he died were, “Jesus, ich liebe dich” – “Jesus, I love you”, in English. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about. Whilst it’s good and important to have the intellectual strength to meet the challenges to faith, being Christian is, as he says, “not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction.” James reflects more on Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.
Thanks for praying with us.
