About

Join us as we walk 153km kilometres on the ancient pilgrimage route, the Camino de Santiago. Beginning from Pedrafita do Cebreiro to Santiago de Compostela.

The pilgrimage to Santiago takes us to the Tomb of the Apostle – one of the twelve who were part of Christ’s intimate circle – and who was responsible for the evangelization of Hispania, where he transmitted the original faith received from Jesus.

The Camino de Santiago de Compostela is a journey for the spirit and soul that millions of pilgrims have completed over thousands of years. Meeting fellow pilgrims, sharing stories and, like all those who choose to walk the Camino de Santiago, you gain a very special spiritual insight.

Modern pilgrims choose to do the Camino for personal, spiritual or religious reasons or simply to take some time out from their busy modern lives. Whatever your reason for beginning, you will be beguiled by the simple daily rhythms of the Camino. Once started, you are sure to become addicted to this wonderful journey through a breath-taking and simple landscape.

This pilgrimage will give us the opportunity to pray, to celebrate the Eucharist in every town we arrive in, to make new friends from different parts of the world, and, above all, to have a personal, transforming life experience. Join this great adventure!

Carrying only the bare essentials, you will walk along an ancient path, worn by the footsteps of pilgrims before you. The beautiful scenery, quiet companionship, and comfort of ʻthe Wayʼ will help you to discover the next yellow arrow, discover God, and discover yourself.

“Imagine walking on a path where millions of feet from other lands and cultures have previously walked, feet that have trod hundreds of miles to reach a sacred site. Think of what it would be like to have that same path and those same stones beneath your feet as you, too, walk to reach the same destination. That is what it’s like to be on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.” – Joyce Rupp
