Join Yvonne Gonda for Morning Prayer on the final day of our of our Virtual Lourdes Pilgrimage. Yvonne is a nurse and has been going to Lourdes as part of the Pilgrimage Medical team for the last number of years. The gospel today is one of many that shows the love and healing power of the Lord. Lourdes has long been recognised as a place of healing. Yvonne says “Coping with the loss of someone you love is one of life’s biggest challenges.”, and shares how her faith and praying for help to live with the grief and loss she feels every day following the death of her daughter in 2017. Thank you friends for joining us on the final day of our pilgrimage. This morning’s mass comes to you from Curragh Lawn Nursing Home in Kildare, with the Anointing of the Sick. We extend a huge thanks to all at Curragh Lawn for their warm welcome to their home. The mass is celebrated by Fr Lorcan O’Reilly, Director of the Oblate Lourdes Pilgrimage.
Welcome as we gather in the spirit of prayer today and light our pilgrimage candle for your intentions. Opening Prayer O God, as light comes from this candle, May the blessing of Jesus Christ come to us, Warming our hearts and brightening our way. May Christ our Saviour Bring life into the darkness of this world, And to us, as we wait for his coming. Amen.
