Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer for April 19th With Mary O’Brien
Good morning everyone, and welcome to morning prayer with Mary O’Brien.
Most psalms include praise of God and thanking him for his creation of the world. They remind us also of the power and glory of God, and how God hears our prayers and answers them. Mary says that she likes the psalms, that they comfort her in how they acknowledge our need of God. They also remind us of the goodness and power of God, and so they encourage us to praise God, to thank him. When Mary hears or sings the psalm in today’s morning prayer, what she takes from it is that God is listening, ready to help us. When our hearts are breaking or hurting, we’ll find God right there beside us, no matter what difficulties we face. God is there with us.
Thank you for joining us in prayer today.
