Morning Prayer for February 23rd With Christine Hunt
Good morning everyone, and welcome to morning prayer with Christine, from Holyhead, Wales.
The first psalm reveals the key to a blessed life, and the happiest life in the world. The happiest life that we can get is to be in the world, but not of the world. The word ‘blessed’ is used often in the Bible. It comes from a word which has several meanings – to go straight, to go forward, to set right, to advance the way of understanding.
What a great guide that is to life through Lent. We all want to go forward in life. We can dwell in the past where we were happy or secure, but only moving forward can we deepen our relationship with God. In this way, we can set our lives right. Christine explains more in today’s video.
