Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer for January 17th With Mary Ryan
Good morning, friends. We invite you to join Mary Ryan for morning prayer from Sacred Heart Church, in Kilburn, London.
Today’s reading is from the Gospel of Mark and tells us about Jesus being challenged by the Pharisees, about his disciples picking corn on the Sabbath day. As an observant Jew, Jesus honoured the Sabbath; the controversy was about how to show this honour and what the Sabbath day meant. Mary explores the nuances from today’s reading, connecting it to today’s world.
Thank you for watching and praying with us today.
