Morning Prayer for March 8th With Fr Reginald OMI
Good morning and welcome to morning prayer with Fr Reginald, from Denmark.
Today’s Gospel reading comes from Saint Matthew. Jesus makes use of the question made by the mother of James and John and teaches an important lesson to his disciples. Find our what it is from Fr Reginald today!
A bit about the Oblates in Demark: They began as a mission of the then-US Central Province, back in 1958. They then became a delegation of that Province. Around 1995, all of Scandinavia was organized as a Vice-Province. After the Chapter of 1998 had eliminated Vice-Provinces in the Congregation, the Oblates in Sweden, Norway and Denmark/Greenland were then organised as a General Delegation directly under the General Administration with the command/mandate to find a Province to come under before 2009. This happened on 1 January 2007, when the Oblates in Scandinavia became two separate Districts: Swedish/Norwegian and Denmark, under the Polish Province. And now, as of 17 of February 2022, the Danish District has been joined to the Anglo-Irish Province.
Thank you for joining us in prayer today.
