Morning Prayer with the Oblates, Saturday January 16th With Gerard Bennett
Jesus invites Matthew the disciple to follow him and immediately answers the call of Jesus and goes with him. The invitation of Jesus to follow him is just as personal to us as it was to the first apostles. Jesus word’s in today’s gospel are for all of us:
‘When Jesus heard this, he said to the scribes: “It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. I did not come to call the virtuous, but sinners.”’ Mark 2:17
Jesus calls all of us, with all our faults and failings, and never leaves us. Join Gerard this morning for our prayer.
