Morning Prayer: Tuesday September 14th With Olga in London
Good morning, for our prayer today we go to Olga Slater in London on the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
On this very special feast day, we are reminded in our readings of the extremes that God has gone to to keep reaching out to us. God never gives up on us. Jesus comes to save, not to condemn. The cross is meant to be a sign of hope to us. Let us ring our own daily crosses and unite them to the one that Christ was crucified on. Today, perhaps we could gaze on a crucifix and contemplate its reality and what it means for us.
“For God sent his Son into the world
not to condemn the world,
but so that through him the world might be saved.” – John 3:17
