Morning Prayer: Wednesday 13th October With Lisa and Donncha in Dublin
We join Lisa and Donncha in Dublin for our morning prayer. We join together as an Oblate family, in prayer and in support for one another wherever we are.
Today’s reflection is on the scripture passage where Peter, in the storm, reaches out in faith and walks to Jesus across the water, and he begins to sink…
We are all called to walk on water sometimes. Even though it might seem risky or unsure, to take that leap of faith, especially when it comes to reach out in some way to other and to share our faith, and to believe and know that Jesus will always be there to reach out his hand to us when we too feel like we are sinking, or when our own faith falters.
‘But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”’ – Matthew 14 30-31
Thanks to all who have joined us from wherever you are for our Oblate Family morning prayer and reflection together. Have a lovely day 🙂
