Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: 10th September With James
Good morning, everyone! Today, we invite you to join James, from London, for our morning prayer.
Today’s reading is from the Gospel of Luke, “Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and acts on them – I will show you what he is like. He is like the man who when he built his house dug, and dug deep, and laid the foundations on rock; when the river was in flood it bore down on that house but could not shake it, it was so well built.”
The parable today has a very clear message – that we should root ourselves in Christ, who gives us a solid foundation from which to build up our lives. Without that foundation, we risk sadness and misfortune. So, let us keep Jesus in our hearts and be open to his will.
Thank you for joining us this morning.
