Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Saturday August 13th With Fr Michael Brady OMI
Dear friends. We invite you to join Fr Michael Brady OMI once more in Inchicore for today’s short prayer and reflection.
Today’s gospel is about Jesus and the children. Think about how children experience life. Everything new ignites within them the capacity to wonder. They aren’t laden down with plans for tomorrow. That is what we are asked to do as christians, that we don’t worry but put ourselves into God’s hands and walk in confidence and thanksgiving.
Sometimes the disciples then and today need to open their hearts a bit more and be open to what is happening today, rather than worrying about what is happening tomorrow.
“People brought little children to Jesus, for him to lay his hands on them and say a prayer. The disciples turned them away, but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children alone, and do not stop them coming to me; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.’” – Matthew 19:13-15
Thank you for joining us this morning.
