Morning Prayer
Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family, Saturday November 5th With Fr Billy Fitzpatrick OMI
Good morning friends, today during this month of November where we are reminded to pray for the faithful departed we invite you to join Fr Billy Fitzpatrick OMI from Inchicore who leads us in this time of prayer and reflection. As members of the Oblate family, today we remember especially those Oblates who have died and gone before us marked with a sign of faith.
This morning we remember especially Frs. Ned Carolan, Brendan O’Sullivan, Michael Hughes and Louis McDermott.
It’s with confidence, with faith and in hope that we can place those who have died in God’s hands. For all of us who grieve the loss of our loved ones and for those Oblates who have died, we pray in the words of Cardinal Newman:
May the Lord support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in his mercy, may he give us a safe lodging, a holy rest and peace at the last. Amen.
Thanks for joining us this morning.
