Morning Prayer with the Oblates, Easter Thursday, April 8th With Mary
Dear friends, this morning Mary Ryan, a parishioner of Sacred Heart, Quex Road, Kilburn, leads us in our prayer as we hear about another encounter the disciples have with the Risen Jesus.
The risen Christ comes among his disciples and he empowers them so that with joy they begin to preach the Good News. We are the Easter people and we too are called to do this!
“Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you!’ In a state of alarm and fright, they thought they were seeing a ghost. But he said, ‘Why are you so agitated, and why are these doubts rising in your hearts? Look at my hands and feet; yes, it is I indeed.” Luke 24:35-48
