Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Friday August 26th With Pat Hughes
Dear friends, good morning and welcome to today’s morning prayer on Friday August 26th. We invite you to join Pat Hughes, from Birkenhead, England, for a few moments of prayer and reflection together.
Today’s reading comes from the Gospel of Matthew. In it, the parable of the ten girls with oil lamps is described, five of whom were well-prepared for the arrival of the bridegroom, the other five not. The message is to be prepared for the kingdom of heaven, for we do not know the hour when are time has come. Are our lamps well-oiled?
Thank you for joining us this morning.
