Oblate Morning Prayer, Saturday January 22nd Anthony Kramers in St Mary’s, Star of the Sea in Leith

Friends, we join Anthony Kramers, part of St Mary’s, Star of the Sea in Leith – thank you for joining us today. We gather as a community of hope.
In our story from scripture today, we hear of a family who are living with mental illness, or their fear of mental illness: a young man with a steady job and income as a joiner, who seems to be going out of his mind?
In the pandemic over the last two years , there are many people whose own mental health has had ups and downs. We hold them in mind this morning.
Scripture Reading – Mark 3 2–21
Jesus came with his disciples into the house. Again the crowd gathered, making it impossible for them even to eat.
When his relatives heard of this they set out to seize him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”
