The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Sunday 4th August 2024 With Mary and James Tyrrell
Good morning dear friends! We join Mary Tyrrell, and her son James in The Wirral once more for our Oblate Family Morning Prayer on Sunday, 4 August, the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Gospel | John 6:24-35
It is my Father who gives you the bread from heaven; I am the bread of life
Mary reflects: “I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “Seeing is believing”. But do we each see the same thing in any given situation? And do those differences affect what we each believe? I think the answer to that is probably yes. Jesus wants us to see and believe. By that he means he wants us to see the signs which point to his grace and glory and believe in him…
There is something you could yourself today: why do I seek Jesus in my life? And what would Jesus think my motives were?”
Thank you for joining us this morning.
