Good morning. Welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer on Thursday, January 9th 2025.  Today we join Tom McGrath in Brazil, to lead us in our time of prayer.

‘This text is being fulfilled today, even as you listen’

Tom reflects: ‘Jesus mentions four simple things. His mission, his proclamation of his mission was a very synthetic thing. And it was summed up by saying, ‘He anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor’. How do you proclaim the good news to the poor, freedom for prisoners? In other words, who are the prisoners? All those who are excluded, eliminated from society – not just people living in prisons.’
