Gospel | Matthew 9:1-8
‘Your sins are forgiven; get up and walk’

Frankie reflects on today’s gospel reading: “To me, when reading this and hearing it, it’s almost a certainty to the Lord is going to cure this person of paralysis. However, he is completely aware of the scribes thoughts. We do not know whether these thoughts were driven by the scribes knowledge of the law. We do know that the scribes were so wrapped up with the very letter of the law, and of their faith, and following all the myriad of rules and rituals that they couldn’t see the goodness that went beyond. This is even to the extent of the goodness manifested in the presence and happening right in front of their very noses.”
