Advent, a time of Hope: Daily Morning Prayer and Reflection, December 3rd With Gerard Bennett
Dear friends, join Gerard Bennett of the Oblate Lourdes Pilgrimage Team in Westmeath for today’s morning prayer for Advent.
Jesus was on a journey. We don’t know how long that journey was. The blind men who were following Jesus must have found this journey very difficult. They persisted, and pleaded with Jesus. This reminds us of the persistence that is required in prayer. We must pray with faith, and believe.
As Jesus went on his way, two blind men were following him, shouting: “Take pity on us, son of David.” And when Jesus reached the house, the blind men came up to him and He said to them: “Do you believe I can do this?” They said: “Lord, we do.” Then he touched their eyes, saying: “According to your faith, let it be done to you.” And their sight returned.
We thank you for sharing this time of prayer together this morning.
