Oblate Morning Prayer, Saturday January 8th With Olga Slater
Good morning, we join Olga Slater in London for morning prayer.
The gospel reading today brings to mind the word ‘purpose’. How easy and uncomplicated life would be if, from the word go, we knew what exactly we were born for, what our life’s mission on earth is, like John the Baptist, who was a Voice in the desert that speaks out, preparing a way for the Lord.
“He must increase but I must decrease.”
Perhaps today, with John’s humility, we could use this as our mantra, as we carry on fulfilling our life’s purpose.
Thanks for joining us today.
