Latest News on OLAC2022

The planning and preparation for the Oblate Lay Associations Congress continues as the date of the Congress draws ever closer.

This is a worldwide Congress – each of the five regions of Africa, Asia Oceania, Canada / USA, Latin America and Europe will hold a Regional Congress from May 27 thru 29.  Soon we will publish the programme for the three days and as soon as it has been finalised, we’ll post it here on the website.  

For Europe, the regional location is the Niniwa Oblate Centre in Kokotek in Poland. For those who have been in Poland, it is about 50km from Katowice and a similar distance from Częstochowa.  A small number of delegates have been nominated and invited by their individual Provincial leadership to attend these regional gatherings.  However, Oblate people everywhere are encouraged to join the online Congress that will be streamed from Rome and which will take place every afternoon live across all five regions from 1:00pm to 4:00pm (British / Irish Summer Time).

The live streaming will offer everyone the opportunity to participate. Plans are being made to host groups in at the Oblate Retreat Centres in both Crewe and London and further local events at other Oblate locations will be announced in due course.
