Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family on Palm Sunday With Fr Lorcan in Crewe
Good morning friends! Today is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, the most solemn time of the church calendar where we recollect the passion and death of our Lord. We join Fr Lorcan Ó Reilly OMI, director of the Oblate Retreat Centre in Crewe for our daily morning prayer.
Did you ever stop and ask that question: ‘why?’ Why did such a thing happen? In today’s gospel reading we hear the story of God who became human and was crucified, why did it have to be so? The questions abound. The cross is the way of liberation. The cross is the painful living of the truth. It is choosing to live gospel values in difficult circumstances. What does it mean for you?
Thank you for praying with us this morning.
