Good morning, everyone, and welcome once more to a morning reflection from Saint Joseph’s Parish here in Colwyn Bay in North Wales. We join Sr Joy for our daily prayer and reflection.

“I don’t know if we would want to be called worthless slaves. But the message from today’s Gospel is something to do with just doing what we have to do. We’ve all got a vocation and a context in which to live our lives. And so if we do not live our lives as well as we can, I suppose that is doing our duty.

But then again, we are not robots and we need discernment to sometimes to see what we actually should be doing. And so that’s where our prayer is so important, If we pray, God shows us what we have to do.”
