This morning we join Gerard Bennett once more in Westmeath, Ireland, for our Oblate Morning Prayer on Tuesday 16th April 2024.

Gospel John 6:30-35 ©

It is my Father who gives you the bread from heaven

Gerard reflects: “The charism of Saint Eugene and of the Oblates is to reach out to the most abandoned in our world and to be the love of Christ to them. In my own life, I turn to Jesus, certain that He is the bread of life, that those who come to Him will never be hungry, or thirst. Just as the people asked Jesus to ‘give us that bread always’, that I know that it is always there for me. I must turn to Him and believe in Him – the rest is up to God. And God does not disappoint.”
