Destroy this sanctuary and in three days I will raise it up

Fr Johnson reflects: “Today we celebrate the feast of the dedication of the Basilica of Saint John Lateran. It was built in the first century after Christianity was legalised. It became the first public Christian church in Rome, for centuries, the official residence of the Pope and the heart of the Christian world. This church also holds a special place among the Catholics because it is the mother of all the churches in the city and the world. As we celebrate this feast we pray for unity in the church and the world.”
