The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Friday 20th December 2024

Good morning friends. We invite you to join Stephen and Michael for today’s morning prayer on Friday of the third week of Advent, December 20th. This week, the members of the Parish of St Mary’s, Star of the Sea, Leith, will lead us in our morning reflections.

‘I am the handmaid of the Lord’

Michael reflects: ‘ This fills my heart with joy, it takes me back to when I was a child. And I look forward to Christmas everyday, not just for the presents, but for the whole atmosphere – the the church, nativity, hymns, everything. So I think we were very lucky to have that in our lives. And I’ve had some bad times in my life where I’ve fell away a wee bit but now I’m back and I really embrace it and miss it so much and realise just how lucky I am to be back in the fold again with the present. ‘
