Good morning and Happy New Year dear friends! We invite you to join Ros Appleby in Birkenhead, England for today’s morning prayer on Friday January 3rd 2025 during this season of Christmas.

First reading | 1 John 4:7-10 ©
“Let us love one another, since love comes from God”

Ros reflects: ‘”Think of the love that the father has lavished on us by letting us be called God’s children. And that is what we are.” – there is the love of God, spelt out loud and clear – his love for us. There is our hope. There is our joy. We are already the children of God. We can’t see the bigger picture yet. Yet we do know that he sent Jesus, His Son, to teach us his ways of righteousness and peace and love, so that we can live in the hope that his promises give us the hope that all of us who follow him can trust in the love of God that holds us safe and secure.’
