Good morning. Welcome to our Oblate Family Morning Prayer on Sunday, January 12th 2025.  Today we join Gerard Bennett once again in Co. Westmeath, to lead us in our time of prayer this morning.

‘Someone is coming who will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire’

Gerard reflects: ‘By virtue of our own baptism we have a vocation for some that indeed may lead to priesthood or religious life. But for most of us, it leads us in a very different direction. Fundamentally, the vocation to call in terms of our faith and our Christianity is leading us to a vocation in life. And just as a priest or a religious sister, a brother has to go through a process of personal discernment to try and understand what it is that God is calling them to be and how to he wants them to live their life.’
