The Oblate Family Morning Prayer: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Good morning, dear friends. Welcome to today’s morning prayer on Wednesday, 12th February, during the fifth week in Ordinary Time. Our prayer is brought to us by John Lewis from St Joseph’s Parish in Colwyn Bay, Wales. 

‘The things that come out of a person are what defile him.’

John reflects:
“In today’s gospel, Jesus challenges the Pharisees and scribes who criticized him for not following the traditions of ritual purity. He shifts the focus from external religious practices to what truly matters the state of one’s heart.”
