Good morning everyone, and welcome to morning prayer – today we revisit the prayer for this day in 2023 with Fr Irvin Morastil and the youth of El Shaddai, in London.

‘Anyone who loses his life for my sake will save it’

The Gospel reading today comes from the account of Saint Mark. It is of the time when Jesus told people to take up their cross, if they wanted to follow him. The Gospel emphasizes the consequences of following Christ. It’s not all sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, but a lot of sacrifice, courage and love.
