Advent, a time of Hope: Daily Morning Prayer and Reflection, December 18th With Fr Michael Brady OMI
Friends, join Fr Michael Brady OMI in St Michael’s Dublin for today’s morning prayer for Advent.
We have a beautiful reading telling us how Jesus Christ came to be born. It also tells us that Saint Joseph, husband of Mary, was gentle, meek and humble of heart and a truth-seeker.
Pope Francis says of today’s gospel in his recent reflection on St Joseph, ‘With a father’s Heart’ – “Obedience made it possible for him to surmount his difficulties and spare Mary.”
“The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son
and they will call him Emmanuel,
a name which means ‘God-is-with-us.” – Matthew 1:24
We thank you for sharing this time of prayer together this morning.
