Advent, a time of Hope: Daily Morning Prayer and Reflection, December 2nd With Mary O’Brien
Friends, join Mary O’Brien of the Oblate Lourdes Pilgrimage Team in Dublin for today’s morning prayer for Advent.
Today’s gospel could be a clear example that points to the saying action speak louder than words. Jesus doesn’t just want us to give lip service to prayer. Prayer just by itself can be a bit like saying “Lord, Lord!” That is why when we pray, we try to bring our own lives into our prayer, so that we can be changed, and can know and do the will of God in our lives.
‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord”, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only one who does the will of my Father in heaven. – Matthew 7:21, 24-27
We thank you for sharing this time of prayer together this morning.
