Death Notice Of Father Paul Byrne OMI

It is with great sadness that the Oblate Community announces the death of Fr Paul Byrne OMI OBE (Dublin) – (peacefully), in the wonderful care of all the staff of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross (late of Inchicore).

Beloved son of the late John and Lavinia and brother of the late Dick; deeply regretted by his sister Carmel, brothers Tony and David, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his Oblate Community, relatives and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace. 

Reposing today (Wednesday) at the Oratory at the House of Retreat, Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore from 2pm until 5.15pm. 

With removal to Church of Mary Immaculate, Tyrconnell Road,  at 5.30 pm. Funeral Mass tomorrow (Thursday) at 11.30 am, followed by burial in the Community Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross.

Fr Paul was well-known and loved throughout the province and achieved special recognition for his outstanding contribution to emigrant services on behalf of the Catholic Church.
