Fr Martin O’Keeffe OMI – 16th November 2023 The community announce the death of Fr Martin
It is with great sadness that the Oblate Community announce the death of Fr Martin O’Keeffe OMI of the Oblate House of Retreat, Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore.
Fr Martin, originally from Ballynoe, Co. Cork, during his many years of priestly ministry, worked in Kilburn in London, Birmingham, Menai Bridge parish on the island of Anglesey in North Wales, and Glenisland, County Mayo. Fr Martin died on November 16th, 2023, peacefully, at St James’s Hospital. Fr Martin is predeceased by his brothers John and Dan, sisters Mary, his twin Nelly, and Julianne.
Sadly missed by all the O’Keeffe and Sheehan nephews and nieces, sister-in-law, grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, his Oblate confreres, and friends.
May he Rest in Peace.
Removal on Sunday evening (November 19th) to the Oratory Chapel, House of Retreat, Tyrconnell Road, Inchicore, arriving at 5 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 o’clock in Church of Mary Immaculate (Oblates), Inchicore, followed by burial to the Community Cemetery.
