“In the Wilderness” – morning prayer with the Oblate Family, March 6th With Olga Slater
We read about Jesus’ temptation the desert. What does the desert look like for us? I think we have all found ourselves in the desert at some point in our lives. The desert could look like depression, or when we don’t feel good about ourselves, or times of spiritual dryness when it seems like God has closed his door and is not listening or seeing.
Why would Jesus be led into the desert to experience all that hardship?
Join Olga in London this morning as she ponders this question and reflects on the Gospel of today.
He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished. The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become a loaf of bread.” Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone.’” Luke 4:1-13
