Morning Prayer for December 28th, Feast of the Holy Innocents With Pádraig Corcoran
We join Pádraig Corcoran, who is the Oblate Youth Worker in Dublin, for this morning’s prayer.
Today’s gospel is in stark contrast to the spirit of Christmas and embracing the child Jesus, celebrating the birth go Our Lord, God with us – some of the world rejecting Jesus right from the very beginning.
We pray we may continue to love and accept the people around us in our lives, and to reach out to those to let them know they are made in the image and likeness of God.
“After the wise men had left, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, ‘Get up, take the child and his mother with you, and escape into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, because Herod intends to search for the child and do away with him.’” – Isaiah 44
Thanks for joining us this morning.
