Dear friends, we join Fr Lorcan O’Reilly, director of the Oblate Retreat Centre in Crewe, England, for our morning prayer on this second Sunday of Christmas and the first Sunday of this year 2022. The Feast of the Epiphany is celebrated today in some parts of the world.
Today we are reminded that with the birth of Jesus light has come into the world and that the darkness will never overcome it.
Each of us has our own unique relationship with our God. Through Jesus Christ, God has entered our world in a new way. The birth of the Christ Child is a witness to us that we don’t walk alone. This is the source of our hope.
“The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it.”
Thank you for joining us this morning.
