Good morning. We join Mary O’Brien once more in Dublin. Mary is part of the Oblate Lourdes pilgrimage team.
In much the same way as the disciples brought the word of God alive to the people of that time, Jesus still reaches out to us today in the ordinary day to day challenges of our lives and events and through the people we encounter.
We remember today in our prayers, a member of the Lourdes Pilgrimage Team, Pat, whose funeral took place yesterday. May the Lord comfort his wife Linda, and all those whom knew him, and welcome him to his eternal reward. Today is also the feast of St Therese of the Little Flower.

Oblates exercise very diverse ministries but above all seek to dedicate themselves to the poor and abandoned. One can thus find Oblates in Britain and Ireland working in parishes, in missionary formation, preaching, social justice and pastoral ministries, or prisons. “No ministry is alien to us as long as we never lose sight of the main purpose of the Congregation: the evangelization of the most abandoned.” ~ Oblate Constitutions and Rules.
