Oblate Morning Prayer Friday June 25th

Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family – Friday June 25th. We join Joyce Fegan in the Oblate Parish of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, in Leith, Edinburgh.

‘Sir,’ he said ‘if you want to, you can cure me.’ Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him and said, ‘Of course I want to! Be cured!’ – Matthew 8:2

Leprosy, in Jesus’ day, must have been so terrible and lonely an illness to bear. The faith of the sick man in the gospel was his greatest blessing, showing that each one of us is never alone, regardless of the challenges we face. Each one of us is loved and cherished. Thank you for praying with us this morning.
