Morning Prayer: Saturday September 11th With Sr Bernadette in Dublin
We join Sr Bernadette again for this morning for our prayer. Bernadette is a member of the Presentation Sisters and is chaplain in TU Dublin (Technical University Dublin).
Again, Jesus uses some well known images from the garden to make his point:
“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit.”
Likewise, a person will produce good or bad fruit depending on what is sown in the heart. And we too need strong foundations to build a strong faith life, to lean on the person of Jesus, taking time for prayer and reflection in our daily lives:
“I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built.” Luke 6:43-49
Thanks for praying with us today.
