Morning Prayer: Sunday October 24th, Mission Sunday With Sr Margaret, Holy Family of Bordeaux

Sr Margaret is a member of the congregation of the Holy Family of Bordeaux and is based in Kilburn, London. The Holy Family sisters and the Oblate Community have had close links since the foundation of both congregations.
In today’s scripture, Jesus says to Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, “What do you want me to do for you today?”
Contemplate these words and what they might mean for you.
Today is also Mission Sunday, a special day of prayer for all missionaries. We pray for all members of the Oblate Family involved in mission. By virtue of our baptism we are all called to mission, to go forth as agents of compassion to those on the margins, the lonely, the homeless, the sick, the unemployed to name but a few.
Thank you for joining us in prayer this morning.
