Morning Prayer: Tuesday 28th September, Feast of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz With the Edinburgh El Shaddai Community

Today we join members of the El Shaddai Catholic Charismatic Community in Edinburgh. We join them for reflection, music and prayer as we celebrate the feast day of the first Filipino saint, Lorenzo Ruiz, who was martyred in 1637 in Japan and said “I am a Christian and for God I shall give my life.”
He is patron saint of the Philippines.
Jesus surrendered everything to God. He entrusted his life to God. Do we believe that God is in control? We must hold onto his promise that he will not abandon us, even in the darkest of times.
“When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.” – Luke 9:51
Thanks for joining us today.
