Morning Prayer: Wednesday 29th September, Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, Archangels

With El Shaddai Community, Edinburgh

We join members of the El Shaddai Catholic Charismatic Community in Edinburgh once more for today’s prayer.

We commemorate the feastday of archangels Gabriel, Michael and Raphael. Gabriel the bearer of good news, Michael our defender, Raphael the healer. We ask their intercession and guidance on all of us.

“Jesus said, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you when you were under the fig tree? You will see much greater things than this!”And he said to them, “I am telling you the truth: you will see heaven open and God’s angels going up and coming down on the Son of Man.” – John 1:51

In today’s gospel, Nathanael was called by Jesus to be a disciple. Like him, we too are being called by God to follow him, and to give our best to those around us.
