Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: Wednesday November 22nd With Joyce Fegan
Good morning friends, and thank you for joining us for prayer. This week, some of the parishioners of St Mary’s Star of the Sea, Leith will lead us in our daily morning reflection and today we join Joyce Fegan in Edinburgh.
Today’s reading is from the Book of Macabees and tells the story of a woman and her seven sons are being put to death.
The mother has encouraged all her sons before their deaths, reminded her of her son that although he will be put to death, not to fear the execution because the gift of God’s grace is guaranteed. Reminding him that she will receive him back with his brothers through the salvation of Jesus Christ.
