Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: July 1st

Good morning and welcome once again to morning prayer with Fr Dermot Mills in Saint Michael’s In Inchicore. Again this morning we continue the reading from Matthew’s Gospel that we had yesterday, we have the sick and those tormented by demons healed.

Matthew seems to take great delight in relating these: The cure of the soldier’s servant, the healing of Peter’s mother-in-law and the release of the man from tormenting demons. People were looking for hope, for respect for meaning… And Jesus was offering it to them!
