Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family: June 29th With Mossie Lyons
Good morning and welcome to morning prayer. Mossie Lyons is delighted to lead us this morning. These morning prayers have been continuous throughout the last three years since beginning of COVID and we thank God for our ability to be able to share prayer as a family. This morning, we remember those people who have passed on the faith to us – mother or father, all those who’ve helped sustain the faith throughout the years – family, spouse, children, a family of the community of the church. Today is a very important day from the point of view of the passing on of the faith – the Feast of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, who were the first people to initiate the faith of Jesus Christ and who were the first exponents of it.
Kairos Community Trust are dedicated to helping homeless men and women with drug and alcohol problems, through an abstinence-support hostel, rehab programmes and their network of 29 supported Move-on houses, most of which are in south London. We pray for Kairos, their staff and members, and the important work they undertake each day.
Thank you for joining us this morning.
