Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family : November 11th

Good morning, everyone, and welcome once more to a morning reflection from Saint Joseph’s Parish here in Colwyn Bay in North Wales. We join Paul Evans for our daily prayer on November 11th. Our Memorial Mass today is for Saint Martin of Tours, remembered for dividing his own cloak into and giving one part to a poor half clothed man. He shared his riches with one who had none.

Today’s Gospel can be a bit of a stretch in understanding what it is that Jesus is saying. It’s a little perplexing and seemingly disjointed, too. It doesn’t flow like many other parables do…
