Morning Prayer with the Oblate Family, Saturday November 19th With Johnson OMI

Good morning friends, we invite you to join Johnson, from Kilburn parish, for our morning prayer today.
In today’s Gospel reading, the Sadducees try to trap Jesus with their question. However, their question presumes that life in heaven will simply be a continuation of life on earth, whereas Jesus, in his answer, indicates that life in heaven will be qualitatively different from life on earth.
St. Paul says in one of his letters that once Christ has been raised from the dead, death no longer had any power over him. That will be true of all of us in heaven. We will be sharing in the Lord’s own risen life, over which death has no power.
So, whatever that situation in our lives, there is a way and hope if we continue to deepen our relationship with God here and now.
Thank you for joining us for morning prayer today.
